Breaking My Silence About Gun Control
This is John Titor again. I know I keep saying that the last posts were going to be my final last posts.
But if you knew what is about to happen, wouldn't you try to change it for the better?

Gun control is coming.
They best thing gun advocates can hope for is for outstanding citizens to conceal pistols and become deputies in helping to protest society. If you stop a crime, you get a hero's reward. If you commit a crime, severe punishment.

This is what we do in my world. It will work in yours.

We aren't going to let just anyone take our guns. Who is going to enforce it? Are they going to get the cops to do it or Military? Its a disaster waiting to happen as soon as they try to confiscate weapons that will be the day someone is killed because they stepped foot on someone's property without just cause.

Another thing. The death of 20 kids is not enough to justify the complete rewrite of what this country was founded on. Its our right to bare arms to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government. Children die everyday. Death is apart of life but as soon as children die the talk of changing the principles of this nation come in to play. Completely illogical if you ask me.

Re: Breaking My Silence About Gun Control
If the government wants to take our guns, they will. Fighting the government is a mistake. I often hear preppers and zombie apocalypse types say they needn't run faster than the zombies (bad-guys) they just need to be faster than the slowest one in the group. Well, with that mind set, it isn't a large leap in logic to accept the government as something you need (as a gun enthusiast) not be faster than... you just have to be faster than the ones the government is most likely to focus on.

Why do we care so much about your guns anyway? If we're worried about having to defend ourselves against our government and we need to arm up for it... there will be no amount of armaments that will provide us protection against what our government has at their disposal.

Instead of worrying about all of this, we should be focusing on what we can do to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

We need to speak out and assist our fellow men and women. Help them to open their minds and be skeptical of anything they're told to believe. If we had more people using critical thinking skills (in all aspects of their lives), there wouldn't be an attempt at taking away our right to bear arms.

Son, you philosophy scares me in that your thinking is both shallow and panders to a communist mindset government advocating the disarming of American citizens. Do you realize that the police in all countries are not obligated to protect you or come to your assistance if they deem the threat too great to the personal safety?

Without a doubt, the government has a vast arsenal at their disposal however, the current communist regime in America has insulted the military population and many will uphold the constitution long with older veterans also screwed over by obama.

You are correct by design American youth are taught to be nothing more than what a useless follower would do and they hold their idle hands out for “goodies” from the government.

If we sat around waiting for the younger generations to magically develop somehow the ability for critical thinking, we will be lost thus understand the second Amendment was put in place to protect citizens from a tyrannical government.

I understand where you're coming from and I appreciate your perspective. But we've already f'd it all up. We've already slid too far down this slippery slope. If protecting my family (if I was alone I wouldn't give a damn) is important, then I will do what I have to in order to keep them safe. Bunkering up against my own government out of principle is like putting my whole family in danger for something way beyond my capability to influence.

If the government comes to take our guns and they (will probably quite ironically) bring their own guns with them to take them, what is the end game?

The government(by definition) cannot exist without it's people, it's people do not contribute to it's gdp unless they're convinced they're happy (or miserable) enough to do so. As much as I love the second amendment and my right to arm myself, I find that we need to pick our "battles" wisely. If we don't, the very thing we seek to protect (our families) will suffer for it.

People that defend our right to arm ourselves will soon find themselves in the same camp as "those damn commies" or "domestic terrorists". The way things are going, they're trying to make "preppers" look like mentally ill psychopaths that are ARMING UP. They create the narrative and we push back like it's all "real". Our right to have weapons is nothing more than another "tool" like "race", "religion", "sex" or "political affiliation" that politicians can use to CONTROL us. Our constitution is "just" a piece of paper and our government uses it to PROTECT THEM not US. If the constitution is in direct conflict with what the government would like to do, they make sure the genpop agrees with them and they bypass it altogether. If we can get the genpop to THINK FOR THEMSELVES instead of BELIEVING WHAT THEY'RE TOLD, the pressure will be on for our government to compensate for a citizenry deserving the rights our forefathers intended for us.

We need to talk about it, but not as in "OMG DON'T LET THEM TAKE OUR GUNS"... We need to ask WHY!? Ask why for EVERYTHING they do, require answers, push until we get them, bring the answers into the public.

Your initial paragraph lamenting we have screwed it up and too far from maintaining our personal freedoms and Constitution tells me you are a leftist groveling for more government intervention.

If you consider the millions of Americans that own firearms and the overall safety that is marred by a few crazy people who either slip through the cracks or steal the weapons.

You are entitled to your beliefs and opinions however in my opinion one must analyze all input and make decisions that are correct for you and your family that will serve you well through time.

We already know the why for the government wants to disarm us we will be harmless obedient sheep and obama fully supports the UN’s Agenda 21 and one step is disarming Americans. Our government predominantly progressives who feels superior, self righteous and entitled to dictate over our lives

There remains Americans who want to be self-sufficient independent people and not part of the new government dependent class.

There will always be special interest groups looking to push their agenda to gain one up on other groups. We f'd up by letting our government get this powerful. I agree it's too big and way too involved in our lives. Being self sufficient is one thing, but fighting the government over any of their red herrings is just plain derp.

Ban Bucky Balls, and Coke, and Pepsi, and Meat products.

Ban breathing.

Proven fact if you breath you will die. 99% of dead people were breathing right up until they died.

If newborns are prevented from ever breathing they may not die.
Makes sense right?

Repeal all laws and lets get back to the constitution and maybe some common sense, and community.

Have you tried "reaching" the brainwashed sheep? They're so indoctrinated, they just ATTACK YOU because your info contradicts their programming.

Besides, people today are impatient with short attention spans, stupid, and do no research. They expect you to SPOONFEED ALL INFO to them. Laying out the dots isn't enough -- they're so damned stupid, you have to explain each and every dot and what each dot means to them.

Decades of public school indoctrination, fluoride, TV, and other bullshit has created a nation of morons. Good luck trying to help them use "critical thinking skills" when they're incapable of any critical thought whatsoever.

If the gov is planning on using military to confiscate guns, they sure as hell ain't using me or any of my men/women. We all know what that means. Can't promise anything for the police force though, from the hundreds of videos I've seen. Can't let that represent them as a whole though. Same goes for military. We'll go UA before they force us to turn on the citizens we swore to protect.
