Gun control means respecting your right to own "arms" and understanding how to aim them properly for the defense of the the common good. Personal story. The way I grew up I was shown how to use a gun at a young age. NOT to harm or to kill but how to use the TOOL known as a gun. You respect them as the deadly tool of self-defense that they are. The problem arises in generations of children that live on games and who have parents armed but never exposed their children to the realities of gun ownership. It's something to be hidden and ashamed of in the liberal mind. Screw that. If you want to have a safe household show your children the difference between a REAL handgun and a fake one. It solves the problems LIBS bring up with child safety because children are smarter then you think given our evolutionary history. We had toy guns and were taught the rules even with the toys. Same as if they were real. My brothers had rifles before they were in Jr. High. When I was in 3rd grade, we were allowed a certain number of days to go hunting and could bring our rifles to school. Too many people treat firearms as a status symbol, they aren't. They also serve who stand and wait. John Milton |
