A sensational video showing an eagle seizing a young child, distraught social networks. Several news sites have fallen into the trap before its authors, four students in digital design, do not confirm it was a joke.

The video shows the raptor, a bird of two meter wingspan, flying in circles above the park.

Then suddenly seen poking out of a young child, caught by his suit and remove a few meters before releasing it in the grass.

We hear the man who filmed swearing, then rush to comfort the child who cries but does not appear to have been injured. End of the sequence.

The effect was immediate: in a few hours the document has been seen over a million times, 1,200,000, according to its authors.

The instructions accompanying the video states that the scene takes place in Parc du Mont-Royal in Montreal and the raptor is a golden eagle.

Before the digital joke is brought to light, these two points have been confirmed by a biologist Claude Drolet, who works in the park as head of conservation services for a non-profit organization, Friends of the Mountain.

"It is 50 meters from my office at the Smith House," he said, and the bird could be an eagle, some recognizable white wing feathers.

That said, the video tour probably in November, was described as "staged" by the biologist. "It is unrealistic that the person whose child is attacked is not the Smith House to ask for help and educate people."

Very quickly, seasoned observers have pointed the net disturbing details to conclude that the video is a fake.

A still image of rapacious in its approach phase shows that its wings disappears in many ways, the shadow of the raptor is not always present on the ground and the baby's body has a surprising behavior when it is released by the bird, as if floating in the air for a moment.

There was still some suspense, it was lifted Wednesday afternoon by a statement from the National Animation and Design (NAD), which offers courses in 3D animation and visual effects, design and digital arts.

The video in question, he says, was produced by Normand Archambault, Loïc Mireault, Rye and Félix Antoine Marquis-Poulin, student at the NAD Centre in the course "Simulation Workshop production" Bachelor of Animation 3D digital design.

"The child and the eagle were created in 3D animation by students and then integrated into a real shooting," he says.

It is in the same course that was produced a year ago a similar video showing a penguin walking around Montreal. He seemed larger than life, but then again, it was a hoax.
