Then came the winds around 75 mph with a little bit of rain and hail... lasted maybe ten minutes.. some trees blew over and it quit now its a constant gusty wind around 40 mph and cold.. it was around 80 degrees earlier that day |

The estimated time of restoration is 7:30. Slemco shows close to 1,000 people without power in St. Landry Parish and about 1,500 out in St. Martin Parish. Those are the most significant areas of outages. Crews from Entergy and Slemco are working to restore power in all areas. Reminder- Schools ARE open |
