The real doom will come next fall when comet ISON, what scientists are now saying will be the most spectacular event in the history of mankind, breaks up as it goes around the sun and sends hundreds of Mt. Everest sized chucks of rocks flying towards us.
One will be caught in orbit around the Earth and will circle for a peroid of days before crashing down.
