Yeah that is pretty freaky! And what is that black in the Cor2 slideshow? Smoke? Something getting in the way of the light?

you need to look at the pics in sequence

It starts with light to the left and then for about the last 4 slides it's black.

Given that the light is in fact the sun the dark is somewhat unexpected, though not necessarily Niribu, Dark Rift, Death Star blah blah..

Given the date though that sort of conjecture is reasonable.
