Not excellent. It's probabilistic BS.

Why?

1. No accurate astronomical definition given, Could be anything.

2. If it means passing through the milky way equatorial plane, we already passed (the solar system did) through that years ago.

If they mean something else, they sure as hell are being every unclear about it and post NO references and NO proof, just fear-gloom-doom claims.

So, most likely BS until proven otherwise.

look at behind hi1, you can clearly see a black hole looking something, its getting bigger

Howdy, AC. It took more than two seconds, but I don't see anything unusual. If you "step" thru the images you'll notice a 12-hour gap from 23:30z on the 17th to 11:30z on the 18th (when it appears darker). You can also see the dark area isn't growing; it appears dark, then lighter, then darker again in accordance to solar activity. The purpose of the HI1 imager is to specifically look for diffuse plasma ejections (hot electrified gases) between the Sun and Earth; it's not very good for planetary or star observations. The dark area shows a lack of hot plasma during that time span. Capiche?

WE DO NOT FACE ANY THREAT OF SOLAR STORM IN WINTER!!!

Currently the Sun is the furthest from Earth so even if there was a strong CME or Solar storm, its intensity would reduce by the time it reaches Earth. We could may be face a threat from these during Summer when the Earth is quite close to the Sun.


The current threat we face is of the reduction of the Sun's nuclear reactions which power the Sun. In other words, we are facing the threat of an ice age even as we speak.

This seems to be the most scientific explanation so far. I did not know that HI1 imager specially looks for plasma ejections. Even so, plasma ejections are an indication of the solar activity itself. Plasma from Sun has its own uses for Earth and its magnetic field.

So such drastic reduction in plasma ejection will definitely have some effects on Earth and its atmosphere.

So we need to be prepared for doom.

thats garbage. it takes hundreds of thousands of years to oscillate up and down in the galactic "disc." Yeah...We're at the top now but it'll take at least 300,000 years to move into the rift, or the middle of the disc. [link to www.nasa.gov]
