put up a tent in your living room.

Inside your tent, burn some oil lanterns for light -- also heat. If you have three or four, you will feel quite a nice warmth.

Don't tip them over though...

Kerosene heater, candles, fire, hot hands, and those little things that people use to heat food for catering. I can't remember what they are called.

I spent a couple nights freezing my ass off when the gas got turned off at my brothers house. A friend of mine and me were fighting over who got to cuddle with my dog. We ended up taking turns.

Also find an age appropriate person of the opposite sex and then say "I am not going to make a baby with you. That would require heat loss from the places we still have hair. but if we make it through this .... you and I can truthfully tell the story"

Make sure to have thick wool socks and a warm wool hat...those are most important.
Thermal underwear really keeps a person warm.

Thermos' are great to have...get a bit one and packs of soup, cocoa, tea, instant cofee. Some people even cook in them (but then you'd want another for beverages).

chuckle

It was before I was married. We had to sleep on a wood floor in front of a dying fire. Him and I were bundled in everything we owned and slept back to back.

The one that wasn't facing the fire got the dog. After a while we would switch. Not a lot of sleep then. We had to conserve the firewood because we weren't prepared.

Bring a metal garbage can inside your living room and start burning whatever you can find, your couch, your clothes, your books, the wood siding on your house.

If you are "enlightened" you could meditate on heat! Or maybe your Aura will keep you warm! Or maybe you could have a big drum-circle and the stinky hippy mass would radiate warmth?

That's a good idea tandym. Thanks for the tip. Ventilation is important. I got the smokeless oil for the lanterns.

plus i have heavy blankets hanging around my area so it's a smaller space to heat. heavy blankets on the windows unless the sun shines then i can open them for the sun to warm the room.
got 25 gallons of water drawn up too. but i don't expect anything till a few days after the 21st.

Invite a hobo to sleep on your living room floor then light him on fire.
