Ground Booming/Rumbling in Virginia

Are you kidding me Im in Stafford this morning at 7:30 my husband and I heard a loud boom our dogs went nuts. Right now before clicking on this thread I felt my jeep kind of shaking similar but not as bad as the east coast earthquake.

at first i think its just a plane descending (close to dulles) but it's too loud and you can literally feel it coming from the ground

Since I live in Stafford Quanticos back yard I always check for noise warnings but the last warning ended the 9th.

No, that was only them slamming shut the bunker door for the O and family.

This has been going on for hours, still trying to figure out what it is. You're not the only one. We are hearing and feeling it in Manassas. I was just at an appointment, and the whole office was discussing it. It woke me up this morning. I thought someone was moving in my building.

Yes!! I also notice the Rumbling & Vibrations. I'm in the Northern Virginia Area also. What the heck is going on?? It's happening allot today.

Us too; deep vibrations & rumbles. We're in SE Fairfax on the border with Prince William. The dog has been very clingy...80-lbs chocolate Labby in cling mode is entertaining...NOT.

At first thought it was snow thunder coming in! The vibrations definitely aren't thunder related, tho. Nor helo/prop/jet, train/truck/convoy.

Glad to know others are hearing this...my husband and I thought we were crazy this morning. Also our a 120 pound rottie has been hiding in our closet.

yea it was really going off around noon but not so much anymore. I'll keep checking back here if I here anything else.

At least Rottie is in the closet and not pacing, panting, drooling, and "fumigating" LOL. Our "little" girl is a wreck.

These vibrations have been going on most of the week TBH. The rumblings from Tuesday mid-day. I notice things since vibrations set off sympathetic vibrations in all of my harps. Get some pretty interesting & beautiful overtones & harmonics, tho.

We live in Sully Station and hear deep booming noises from time to time. We think that the noise is coming from the rock quarry in manassas. They might be using explosives.

I heard they were doing shelling practice at Quantico today. and for the next 3 days.

I will always check these threads out. Viriginia and the East Coast in general seems to be booming lately.
