Should children still have recess, at the 90,000 schools across the US?

None of this will affect my daughter after this coming semester. She'll start the first grade as a home schooler.

Kids need to get up and run around or they'll go bonkers. And the teacher will too. LOL

I'm sorry, but life is a gamble everytime you take a step out your front door. Teaching kids to live in fear of 'what if' will hold them back from being a 'do-er' in life.

Its been a while since I have been in school, but from casual observation I would say that most schools are recess all day long. The other, deeply rooted social crimes, as usual go unnoticed, that is the death or killing of the mind that has gone unabashed in our schools systems for more than 30 years.

These psychos that do such things, they went to school right? So, they must be a product of the system right?

If I remember correctly from when I was in school the teachers of the students watch over them during recess, so if various teachers are secretly armed the students will be safe.

So much has already been taken away from the children through the years, they are no longer able to play freely in their neighborhoods, they are growing up too quickly because we lived in a world of fear.

Stop making people pay for the stupidity and neglect of our leaders, our children need some freedom and feeling of security, they need to learn to enjoy the outdoors and playing and interacting without the use of smart phones or other electronics, and to feel comfortable without the thought of fear for once.
