I use it mainly to keep in touch with a small handful of folks that are spread out across the world. Quoting: OnTheFence Hubby uses facebook to post articles (political, strange stories, etc). We definitely do not "chit chat" or do other inane things on FB. I'm rarely on Twitter and I have well over 700 followers (mostly internet marketing related stuff). I follow quite a few celebs, like Misha Collins and Nathan Fillion. But I agree, most social media sites are time suckers. THAT I agree with. They are useful tools for finding interesting news articles, that's about all I use them for and you don't need an account for that. all you need is glp. the news on this site is 1000x better then some sheep posting a news article on FB about who's dating who or who's pregnant. |

I can, cause I get banned all the time for not sure why, so I get used to it to the point that I can come and go willingly. |

| Water Flower User ID: 30362261 United States12/20/2012 05:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | definitely. i dropped all my fb friends and family. sure i miss some of them, but just when i'm ready to request friends i stop dead in my tracks and turn away. the main reason to drop them was due to family drama and bs. so, yeah, fb sucked. i keep it for business now. don't need bs friends and family. i realized that i'd rather deal with the people i see in real life. that alone is enough for me. edit: i guess to each their own. for me, it didn't work and i don't want to go through what i went through b4. Now I've been back on for about 2 months. I don't see a way off of it. It's nice to chat and hear about friends I can't see because of moving. There's no way I could call and talk to them all and not be on the phone all day, I have better things to do than that. Facebook has its purpose. |
