I know it's not across the board, and is probably much worse here on GLP then out in the 'real' world, but Christian Fundies show so much obstinance and shallowness and most recognizably close mindedness than I have ever come across. I think it's got to be GLP more than anything, but maybe not. Maybe because these kind of discussions just aren't brought up to the 'God fearing' neighbors or whatever, so it never is shown for what it is. The use of the word "planet" is out of place. In the 13th Century, the world was believed to be flat, no?, especially by the Roman Catholic Church. Now, this could be explained by the original using a different word, and whoever translated the work into English, used a more modern translation of the original word- taking some "poetic" liberty- and inserted the word "planet."
