All joking aside, around 15 years ago I was skimming through a book that was published in 1944 or 1945, that spoke of all the countries of the world being nation states to a central world government.

They proposed that the central government would have an army that would be able to keep the peace and no nation state would be permitted to have an army to be used outside of their respective states. Their army would be to enforce laws of that state. Police would not have any firearms.

I was looking at this book and other materials at that time because the UN was on my radar screen as morphing into a world government and books like that one confirmed this was their original plan back then.

From memory, I don't recall the German police having any kind of significant weapons during the Nazi regime. I kind of think they were basically disarmed and the military were the only real enforcers. (UN=Nazi model?)

The people caved in to the Nazis and the commies back then and became fearful slaves. How much more now with the drones and surveillance mechanisms do we not have any chance of optimism concerning future tyrannical plans to enslave the public.
