The 'fiscal cliff" is a made up term to sell the public on what has already happened slowly and deflect attention off the real perps. They have been propping up a dead economy with smoke and mirrors and EBT cards for about as long as it is going to hold up. The dollar only has value because you think it has value, the way they are being printed with all the QE's it is just monopoly money. There is no way out because they have raided the treasury in bailouts, trillions are "missing", half the country is on food stamps, Social Security has been drained and millions of boomers are about to start retiring and they can't pay unless they print more worthless dollars. You may get your few hundred a month in SS if you are a boomer and it may buy you a loaf of bread a month.

Fiscal cliff is only a minor annoyance for most. Taxes go up a bit, fed spending drops a bit. It will be a big problem for the GOP, nothing has come out of the house to be voted on, oops...
