i don't mind the weather being adverse but i just don't like the rain as i work outdoors

Im in South West Ohio about 18 miles from the Richmond Indiana State Line and we are having near white out conditions right now snow is falling heavy and blowing like crazy!!!!
Whio tv says 11-14 inches of snow with over an inch of snow falling per hour, 40 mph winds and I "tried" to get out about 6:30 this morning and the roads were icy & slick as could be!! Over 3,000 in Dayton & surrounding areas without electricity and we aren't even in any of the worst parts of the Blizzard yet!!! The Blizzard warning is in effect until.1 am tomorrow morning......Brrrrr

coming down hard as hell in ne ohio currently

Southern Indiana here...5 inches of snow on top of a thin layer of ice that fell late last night/early morning hours. To our north, Indianapolis, Martinsville, Bloomington all under travel warnings, emergency personnel only. Apparently, there are 40 cars stranded along highway 37 between Bloomington and Martinsville. Many areas nearing the one foot of snow mark, and it's forecast to continue until late afternoon.

I remember getting storms like this a LOT when I was a kid.

It's about time. I've only had salt and a shovel stored up for like 3-4 years since we never get hit anymore.

Hell last year I went through a total of half a bag of salt, and that was with doing the neighbors driveways.

Here in western KY, they blew this thing out of proportion, called for blizzard and 8-11 inches of snow and hazardous conditions. As of now we have 2 inches and it is just about done, its breezy but hardly dangerous or a blizzard.
