We tilt it in models and photographs for aesthetic reasons...I kid you not. They don't teach you this in school. I can't recall exactly when I learned this for the first time, but it was probably a couple years ago. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1195298 um, no... i don't think so.... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 10044371 Australia 12/20/2012 09:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | funny how all this info is now coming in about planets and our moon being tilted off their axii becuz some years ago now i read a prophecy that this would happen to our solar system as Nibiru was incoming... before Earth tilts etc... but whether that will happen or not who knows... (to Earth i mean. It does look like saturn has tilted to me... never seen it look like that before. i knew it could have a lean to it, but not right on its side like that???) |
THE Professor ! User ID: 29216719 United States 12/20/2012 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Take the mans telescope views and MISCONNECT the information to pictures that can be tilted. Bet you have ones of grandma, standing on her head, while STILL sitting in the rocking chair, lol ! What a fool ! But shills/idiots will say anything that clears FEAR from their SMALL minds/intellect if they THINK it makes it 'Go Away' ! Hope there is room under the bed for all your family tomorrow ! |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 21778193 United States 12/20/2012 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NASA’s Casini spacecraft has caught a rare glimpse of Saturn in near-perfect conditions for one of the first times in its eight years orbiting the ringed planet. The image shows the gas giant in “high solar phase” — a point in the planet’s shadow with the sun completely obscured. “Of all the many glorious images we have received from Saturn, none are more strikingly unusual than those taken from Saturn’s shadow,” Carolyn Porco, head of Cassini’s imaging team in Boulder, Colo., said in a release. The backlit view provides incredible detail of Saturn’s rings and can give NASA’s scientist information about the planet’s atmosphere that wouldn’t be available from other angles. The view of Saturn released by NASA this week is a composite of 60 different images the spacecraft took at different wavelengths. The last time Casini was able to get a view of Saturn in high solar phase was 2006, when the spacecraft was closer to the planet. The resulting image contained even more detail than the one released this week. It also captured a very small, pale blue dot: Earth. [link to news.nationalpost.com] |
