So they're supposed to carry their supplies, all of the books they brought home with them, gym clothes/shoes, and whatever else they need?

Don't know about the kids today but back when I was in school the books we had were heavy and then add on top of other books that were needed for other classrooms to study then gym stuff, trapper keeper/artboxes... that's alot to carry in just your arms without dropping anything on the way let alone not loose on the way to and from school.

This is done at Christmas break and the last week of the school year. Every year.

Yup can verify this as well!! Port st lucie had a threat, a letter was going around warning for children not to attend school Friday.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie County School District says high schools will be on heightened awareness on Friday after rumors of a note that threatened school safety .
School resource officers and law enforcement are taking the matter seriously as "potentially credible". The district is not sure where the note originated from, but say students are using social media to talk about the note.
