Is time slowing down?
Is it just me or is time slowing down? Yesterday at work seemed like forever, but now I'm listening to some tunes I wrote @ 120bpm, but right now they sound like 108bpm. I don't think I'm turning into a looney, anyone else feel this?javascript:doSmilie(''); Maybe it's just the weather?

You're imagining things. I have an atomic clock and it's keeping perfect time in accordance to the base atomic clock in Colorado and compared to other independent time keeping mechanisms.

Yes, my Citizen Skyhawk atomic watch is syncing right now with WWVB in Colorado.

We'll know if something is up however.

Re: Is time slowing down?
While atomic clocks and other devices may show that time is still passing at the same speed, I think our awareness of time has changed. I've brought this subject up among several of my family members and friends, and they too feel as if time is passing more quickly. Here it is almost Christmas and it feels like we've blown through December very quickly. It seems like just yesterday the world was going to end.

Re: Is time slowing down?
Time is just a state of mind, a point of reference devised by the human mind. Outside of our minds, past, present, and future, exist at the same time. What is perceived as slow to you, will be perceived as fast by someone else.

Put two people back to back in the same spot, one watching something incredibly boring, the other watching something very exciting, and they will both experience time differently. The day will seem to last forever for the one experiencing boredom, while the one experiencing something exciting, the day will fly by. Its simply the way the brain process's the info put into it. Stimulation, Integration, and finally, reaction.
Proud to be deplorable

The only constant is change

The winds of anger, blows out the candle of intelligence

"Slowly, like moisture entering the dying tree trunk, slowly filling and rotting it, so did the world and inertia creep into his soul; it slowly filled his soul, made it heavy, made it tired, sent it to sleep"

"One must find the source within one's own Self, one must possess it"

Re: Is time slowing down?
No, you are speeding up.

So in a sense you are right. As of two days ago polarity of time itself has changed and is spiraling outwards again meaning the feeling we had up to two days ago that time was speeding up is now actually reversing so it will gradually feel that time is slowing down.

Takes a while though to be really noticable - years.

Meanwhile we (our frequency of perception) is speeding up and accelerating rapidly. Now that is very noticable.

Nah your just getting old ,i realized the same thing a few years ago ,when your younger you have so many things to do with so little time ,its when you get older you realize that you can't be assed to do the same things so all the things you used to do and don't do anymore gives you more time during the day like go on GLP , have panic sex, easy life, 5a
