My cat started howling and my dog crying to be let in. We just heard three sonic booms here but they started acting like that a few minutes before that. Now I've got the whole family in my bedroom. Kids & pets. So much for getting my sleep.

Re: Any pets acting weird ?
Yes, very strange. We have two cats and they walked into a bar tonight. Minutes after their arrival, a horse walked in and started talking to our cats. They were shocked and couldn't believe they had met a talking horse. By the time they got home to us tonight, not only were they staggering pissed (tripping over their tails every third step), but they kept repeating the story of the talking horse over and over. Even my kids tired of them and called them both pussies.

Very strange. Very weird indeed. It's the end of the world as we know it.

Re: Any pets acting weird ?
The dog has be lethargic for the past few days. Laying around and not his usually high-energy self. Kinda strange but I'm not quite ready to blame it on the Mayan thingy just yet. Could be just the fact that we've had to hide all of his toys because he wants us to play fetch every minute of the day.

I don't normally respond to Animals are acting strangely threads, as, well I've got a cat, and weird is normal.
BUT for the last two days he's been acting very peculiarly.
The only time I've seen him act remotely like this was the February before last when a major quake happened here.
The building I was living in became uninhabitable in literally seconds and I couldn't find him for a day or so, and when I did he was very timid and skittish and actually ran away from me.
That was *after* the quake.
Night before last I had the door shut so he jumped out the window-only done that a couple times before as he's an old cat and has a weak back.
Last night I had the door open and instead of going four feet to exit comfortably jumped out the window again.
I checked him for injuries, but no growling no matter where I probe.
Is now very nervous, and after I persuaded him inside-he was evasive, itself very unusual, he's disappeared outside again.
Objective;y-very unusual behaviour.
