How fussy is the OP that he hasn't found anybody worthy yet?
Look at the facts so far, he knows time is limited so he must be getting old and since he is looking for an heir he must be alone and that could be by choice, which it probably is, the only question is whose choice, his (unlikely) or the people that he has met during his life want fuck all to do with him. lol, I'm going to have to keep that for my own self. Anybody ever made a wish to become one with a polar bear. Probably best if it looks like an accident as ther are a lot of permits to take the legal route, if that is even possible.

Hope that clears things up.

A man who dies rich dies disgraced. If you are truly trying to set up something to benefit all of mankind you don't need to give it to someone who may or may not change their mind or share a different vision. Use it to build something amazing that everyone can benefit from. Invest it in a project to grow food for the world, or bring real medicine to those who actually need it, or a clean energy to power the world, or just clean the Earth that we are going to give to future generations. If you want to change the world you're thinking too small. Don't think about what you can do for the next generation, think about what you can do for people hundreds of generations from now.

Well I'm not that old about middle age, but who knows how long I will be here, times running out.

You can't take your wealth with you, so best to give it to someone that will carry on the purpose that you have in common.

It would be silly just to choose a random person. Because there is likely someone in particular out there that is going to make best use of it.

And I would need to know them over a period of time to trust them obviously.

This is not some hoax. I'm not prejudice. I'm looking for someone who is going to carry on with what I started.

It doesn't mean I have to pick the first couple of replies of the GLP forum, but it is a chance to network, because there is other things to be done too, other than the inheritance, depending on who you find.

Well that is already part of it. But you need some wealth behind you to do all that. If you spend every cent without some inheritance, you are not going to be able to give the ones that come after you a fair chance cause they will have nothing to work with!

then they will have to spend all their life working to get a platform like I have, and by the time they finish putting so much effort into that, it will be time to pass it on.

But if they already start with an inheritance, They atleast have more freedom to work with.

I'd rather give something to someone I care about personally that I know, then to just spend all my money on temporary projects.

Something needs to be passed on down the line. And this is part of that.

I would more likely invest in magnetism technologies for energy production if I was funding in that area.

I believe in Anti-gravity technology and it's ability to produce energy for basically no cost.

Re: I am choosing one worthy person to inherit my fortune when I pass on. To continue a legacy.
Cool. Choose my nephew, K. He's about 6, so he's not very old yet, but he's a sweet, amazing, loving little boy who will, with the guidance of his compassionate and loving auntie, certainly choose to spend your legacy wisely on things like rescuing dogs and donating free art supplies to orphans. He's also very smart, and given the rising cost of higher education who knows if he'll get to college. But he is so very smart, talented, and loving that he deserves to go and should go. He'll probably cure cancer, given half a chance.

Now, feel free to vomit up the sickly sweet. You probably feel like you just ate two pounds of candy in about five minutes, huh?

It's too bad the world has become such a cynical place, because I am actually not lying, though I can't guarantee the last sentence of my first paragraph. It's just too early to tell if he's drawn to science or not. So far he seems to be more the artistic type, like the rest of my family. Which probably explains why we tend toward cultured poverty.

Anyway, good luck on your quest data*cough*miner*cough I mean OP.

Pour it into NANOTECH.

If you can create ANYTHING at ALL just by manipulating matter..you can ELIMINATE ALL problems at once.

NANOS to keep you young..to create food..to clear the earth of pollution..to do just about ANYTHING..

And they would ALSO eliminate WEALTH..in other words..there will be no more rich lording it over the poor..if EVERYONE can have a gold bar in their lap with the touch of a button.

The only reason the rich HAVE the power..is cause thay have stuff the POOR DONT have.

But if everybody had wealth..wealth then would be meaningless.

It would eliminate war..cause there would be NO reason LEFT to fight as oil and coal would be useless..and the stars would be within our grasp.

Think about it.

OTEC can do so much more than simply produce energy including the devastation caused by hurricanes/typhoons - old and entertaining article, but turn of java before visiting to avoid annoying/frozen advertisement. [link to www.wired.com]

You should search for the reincarnation of Tesla
 Quoting: Open Your Eyes

The World Bank is still too pissed at Iceland to allow them to wirelessly transmit AC power to Europe or anyplace else.

Same with big pharma blocking phage medicine an things like O2 therapy and 8PH to keep the body sound and out of the Doctors office for cancer types of diseases.

mag-lev devices are headed towards the military R&D

Hemp is wide open, so much red tape nobody is doing much let alone creating new strains of hemp that would be considered 'native grass' at some point. If 16 footers were available in the old days 20 ft should be possible but then you need some big ass harvest and post harvest equipment.

Rec centers in 'remote locations' might be viable but then you need a healthy economy that allows the population to pursue leisure activities, not looking real good at the moment so ....

Get some burnt out land in Texas that has areas that flash flood could be viable in that in 10 years such areas could be made productive as at least pasture land and once the organics are built up then crops would be the normal product. Expensive to start but very cheap once it is producing.

Later, have fun.

Why don't you start some kind of environmental non-profit and leave your money to that?

If you really want to leave it to a person, you will find that person. Personally, I would join clubs which promote what you believe in. You will find that person you seek, hard-at-work in such a location.

well some intelligent thoughts there.

No I'm not data mining.

I'm just looking for people that I have common interests with, and I'm sure I'll eventually find the right people to give the resources too.

And I'm happy enough the information knowledge wise that I got out of this thread already.

emails twitter addresses or whatever is not data mining. That's simply contact links to network people that might be interested in joining such clubs, as you might be willing to attend.

Nothing sinister about it.

Well I guess I am not worthy, my karma is bad in this life, must be paying for some really bad stuff I did in the previous one.

OP better pick some people from Africa or somewhere like that. They could use money more than anybody.

What would I do?
Buy a boat and head to the pacific, build a house on a desert island and live in peace and solace.
Or do the same in Norway.

My Daughter who is 6 came up to me yesterday with a box full of christmas pictures she had drawn, some random stickers from around the house and little trinkets and said she wanted to go door to door in the neighborhood and sell them to raise money for families that don't have money for food or clothes for their kids. (I'm such a proud daddy!!) Would you like to start here with a simple donation for one of her pictures for The Bethleham House in Mckinney Texas? If you are interested let me know.

A very sweet gesture.

Isn't it strange how the happiest people in the world also tend to be the poorest?

Let's just say I'm REAL happy! Seriously, though, it's because it's inside, not from external sources. I just find things that i appreciate, and it comes naturally.

But I hope you find whomever it is you are looking for.
