Creating genetically-modified critters that glow in the dark is all the rage in scientific fields these days. It's far from just a (strange) cosmetic effect, though; a team of researchers from the U.S. and Japan are using fluorescent cats to track the effectiveness of gene therapy combating FIV, the feline version of the virus which causes AIDS in humans.
