A lender takes a risk that the debt cannot be repayed. Bankruptcy
and write downs are simply a cost of doing business.

Borrowing with the intent not to pay it back is another matter. But
most people who get in over there heads do not do it with fraud as
the intent.

You can sugarcoat a turd and it's still a turd...borrowing without repaying is theft and should be punished accordingly...everything you have should be auctioned off to pay the debt, and if that's not enough then you should have to work it off as a slave to the lender.

Go to an Indian Reservation in the US and get a loan, as soon as you step outside their territory they cant legally ask you for anything.
