We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father.* With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. AMEN |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 6427313 12/21/2012 09:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was raised in a Christian home going to church and hearing about the Bible. So i've always been around it. That still didnt mean that I didnt have to make a decision myself. After going through my teenage years living how I wanted, I felt a pulling. I felt lost. Things didnt make me feel better and that I was empty. I went back to what I was taught when I was younger and began to search. Started praying, reading and the Lord started changing my desires. He changed my heart and mind. I really feel something different in my spirit when reading the Bible and praying (like something is real) than when not. Everything i've tested has been made true. Just the fact that im not died, nor living like I use to is enough for me to know there is a God. |

AMEN But why? Christians base their belief on the Bible and believe it to be the one true infallible word of God ,so the essence of their belief is based upon the 'fact' the Bible is the Word of God. Of course their a variations across the different denominations based on peoples allegorical or literal interpretation of the Bible. |

She was amazing - she NEVER went the negative route. She spoke of love, patience, kindness, forgiveness, respect. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, and do not accept abuse from others as you deserve as much respect as anyone else. I to this day respect her view, and I am not christian. From what I have learned in my life, almost all religions are based on these simple principles, then some asshole comes along and decides to add unneccesary bullshit. RoxykinsIII |

That whosoever believeth in Him might have everlasting life. You have to accept Christ as your Savior and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Whether you do or not is a matter of free choice and up to you. |

But yeah most preachers, bishops, priests, nun's can't life the lifestyle, it's impossible to be perfect. Hence the need for Jesus. Most people miss the spiritual nature of Christianity. Ive seen concession stand's in Churches and I'm disgusted as well. |
| Stand! User ID: 27950763 12/21/2012 09:45 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To me, Christianity is living the way Jesus lived.... being kind, helpful, encouraging, NON-judgmental, giving (whether anyone thinks the one I give to deserves it or not), compassionate, patient, and and caring. Why is God (and Jesus) real to me? Because that's the only thing that makes sense. God says be kind and caring to others and, most of the time, kindness begets kindness. When we cooperate and look after each other, things tend to work out for everyone. To those Christians who rant about "You're going to Hell if you don't say the magic words " I'm a sinner, I'm sorry and I accept you into my life", I say "Please stop that. Jesus wouldn't have acted that way, he accepted everyone, and all he wanted was for people to clue in and realize that love is the answer and it's the only way anything works out. There are no magic words. There is only God...loving you every minute and wanting the best for you, no matter where life takes you and being with you every step of the way. That's what I believe. |
