Could someone here explain Christianity from their Christian perspective in a civil manner?
Everytime I see one it seems they're always just condemning me or someone else to hell for asking about their belief or having an alternate one.

I'd like to know why you believe, and what about it makes you so confident that your envisioned deity is the real one.

Re: Could someone here explain Christianity from their Christian perspective in a civil manner?
This is the essence of what most Christians believe
of course there is slight to large differences depending on domination
----------------------------------------------------------

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
He came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day He rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father.*
With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN

Real Christianity. Act like you just became the wife of Jesus and constantly engage Him in conversation. Find his likes and dislikes and try to please Him religiously.

I was raised in a Christian home going to church and hearing about the Bible. So i've always been around it. That still didnt mean that I didnt have to make a decision myself. After going through my teenage years living how I wanted, I felt a pulling. I felt lost. Things didnt make me feel better and that I was empty. I went back to what I was taught when I was younger and began to search. Started praying, reading and the Lord started changing my desires. He changed my heart and mind. I really feel something different in my spirit when reading the Bible and praying (like something is real) than when not. Everything i've tested has been made true. Just the fact that im not died, nor living like I use to is enough for me to know there is a God.

Christians base their belief on the Bible and believe it to be the one true infallible word of God ,so the essence of their belief is based upon the 'fact' the Bible is the Word of God.

Of course their a variations across the different denominations based on peoples allegorical or literal interpretation of the Bible.

When I was a teeneager, our neighbor was a born again christian. She was amazing - she NEVER went the negative route. She spoke of love, patience, kindness, forgiveness, respect. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, and do not accept abuse from others as you deserve as much respect as anyone else. I to this day respect her view, and I am not christian. From what I have learned in my life, almost all religions are based on these simple principles, then some asshole comes along and decides to add unneccesary bullshit.

The Belief that God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son to die for us on the Cross. That whosoever believeth in Him might have everlasting life.

You have to accept Christ as your Savior and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Whether you do or not is a matter of free choice and up to you.

I became a Christian just on the fact I saw Satan on drugs.

But yeah most preachers, bishops, priests, nun's can't life the lifestyle, it's impossible to be perfect.

Hence the need for Jesus.

Most people miss the spiritual nature of Christianity.

Ive seen concession stand's in Churches and I'm disgusted as well.

Re: Could someone here explain Christianity from their Christian perspective in a civil manner?
To me, Christianity is living the way Jesus lived....
being kind, helpful, encouraging, NON-judgmental,
giving (whether anyone thinks the one I give to
deserves it or not), compassionate, patient, and
and caring.
Why is God (and Jesus) real to me?
Because that's the only thing that makes sense.
God says be kind and caring to others and, most
of the time, kindness begets kindness. When
we cooperate and look after each other, things
tend to work out for everyone.
To those Christians who rant about "You're going
to Hell if you don't say the magic words " I'm a sinner,
I'm sorry and I accept you into my life", I say "Please
stop that. Jesus wouldn't have acted that way, he accepted
everyone, and all he wanted was for people to clue
in and realize that love is the answer and it's the
only way anything works out. There are no magic
words. There is only God...loving you every minute
and wanting the best for you, no matter where life takes
you and being with you every step of the way.
That's what I believe.

I was full of fear, fear allowed evil spirits into my mind.

And from my mind was projected into the world.

I tried to rationalize the situation, looking into subconscious manifestations, Fraser Spirals.

But I'm %100 sure it was Satan.
