To me, Christianity is living the way Jesus lived....
being kind, helpful, encouraging, NON-judgmental,
giving (whether anyone thinks the one I give to
deserves it or not), compassionate, patient, and
and caring.
Why is God (and Jesus) real to me?
Because that's the only thing that makes sense.
God says be kind and caring to others and, most
of the time, kindness begets kindness. When
we cooperate and look after each other, things
tend to work out for everyone.
To those Christians who rant about "You're going
to Hell if you don't say the magic words " I'm a sinner,
I'm sorry and I accept you into my life", I say "Please
stop that. Jesus wouldn't have acted that way, he accepted
everyone, and all he wanted was for people to clue
in and realize that love is the answer and it's the
only way anything works out. There are no magic
words. There is only God...loving you every minute
and wanting the best for you, no matter where life takes
you and being with you every step of the way.
That's what I believe.
