that happen ALL THE TIME now when anything goes down...someone gets shot in the hood, the massacre @ Sandy Hook, etc., is getting tedious? I'm certainly not against remembering and honoring under such circumstances as the children being killed in CT, but my impression is these things have turned into almost a social event, a ritual, there's just too much drama. We need LESS drama. Humans can't think rationally when drama rules. And we need to think with our heads, rationally, to try and solve our problems as a society and as individuals. I really think a lot of people [especially females] look forward to these candle light rituals just for the sake of a little drama.

These colored ribbons for everything under the sun are getting on my nerves, too. It's now trivializing important issues, IMHO, just like the vigils and shrines do.

I agree OP...theres a REASON men have kept women out of politics and places of responsibility elsewhere for centuries: they are too emotional and downright silly! Take a look at the "Real Wives of(fill in the blank)" and you can see how the majority of women think. Hysterical, drama filled BS.
