Was there or wasn't there a galactic alignment?

Yes there was. I think, I assume because nobody is disputing this.

But ...

Where is the text that says when a Galactic Alignment occurs the world comes to end?
Translating the end of a calendar into a global exstinction event is where facts end and fantasy begins.

I didn't think they would have gone through the trouble of making the thing in the first place with the alignment having no actual impact here on earth.

Look Mayans never said disaster will strike and wipe us out on a single day. Even Noah's flood took 40 days of rain to drown everybody. Virus? Takes longer. Solar flare? Takes even longer, EQ, needs multiple ones and takes longer. So wake up and be happy because it hasn't happened yet.

Oh forget about nubiru. if anything that size collides with the earth, Mayans won't continue their calendar count after 2012.

The mayans weren't wrong.

The people who misinterpreted the calander as doom were.

There was an alignment and they were correct on this. They also predicted we would move to a higher state of consciousnesses. Many many people are definitively thinking more than ever before, but considering the amount of mass media dulling the brain, it's easy to see how that could have been calculated wrong.

Where did you get that the Maya "predicted" anything????

The simply ran out of room on the rock on which they carved their "perpetual" calendar !!

They never made ANY prediction!

No "prediction" by the Maya is associated with Baktun 13!!
Long count 13.0.0.0.0

The prediction came from interpreters / so-called scholars of the calendar. Their speculations on why the Maya ended the calendar at Baktun 13.
Neglecting the obvious fact that the rock on which it is carved had no more room on it!

They did not PREDICT anything. They recorded their dates and observations so they would know things like when there would be an eclipse, an alignment, a full moon, solstice etc. They did not predict a thing. This was a culture where the leader of the losing team in a soccer match would be put to death, just for sport. Keep things in perspective here.

somethings happening inside your stream of consciousness right now, is there not? sure it doesn't seem significant but thats only because you believe it to be yours and within your control and absolutely not and in NO WAY could it be possibly influenced by an "outside" force. but what if it is and what if your thoughts arent "yours" truly. oh but you cant think that deep, my bad.

What do you think failed? Its no different than the month of December on a calendar....it marks the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. NO WHERE did the Mayans say the world would end. The only fail is your own stupidity for not researching. Moran.

March 26, 2407 will be Baktun 14
(each Baktun is 144,000 days)

Sound to you like some Biblical predictards got their heads all screwed up by the 144,000 days part??

Probably!

It isn't wrong.

The clean up period begins.

You'll see it's effect soon enough.

"Symbiotropism will emerge in the lives of some forward-looking people in our time, and will do so vividly and dramatically around the vortex moment of the Maya endtime, 2012. As this happens, it will be imperative to resolve the unfinished business of the Piscean Age by mastering the central problem: namely, how the messianic complex of the Age has impeded our realization of the true image of humanity."

The original date was actually the 23rd for the end date of the calendar. The so called experts changed it to the 21st to go along with the winter solstice.

Not so...
The mayans don't use the GREGORIAN calendar
they use the MAYAN Calendar.

Regardless of whether today was the (gregorian date) 10th of May or 12/21/12, it STILL is
