No, this is just another step towards Homeland security and Body Scanners at your schools. TSA style agents feeling up your kids and an eventual police state.

Armed guards at schools isn't going to solve anything, it will just make it worse. You need to find and root out guns that will be used for crimes, and make them harder for criminals to get hold of them. Put up much stricter penalties for offenses with guns, even minor ones like menacing.

I'd be fine with this. At least if anything happened it wouldn't be civilians putting their lives at risk. It would be cops doing what they are supposed to do.
