the way the libs see it anything more than a single shot bolt action is an assault weapon. Taking away semi auto weapons would doom us for sure to resist a take over attempt. Military call things like this combat multipliers. One man with a bolt action may be able to withstand and attack by one or maybe 2 more men. semi auto multiplies the ability to stand your ground against larger odds
