The 'alignment' you're describing happens to be because mercury and venus don't stray more than approx 40 degrees of the sun at most. They are always fairly close in orb to the sun compared to all the other planets which can be anywhere in the zodiac backdrop.

There is another alignment between these two 'minor' planets and jupiter, plus the midpoint between pluto and saturn, but those are not earth changers or extraordinary.

The one that had plenty of play is the zero point galaxy alignment which effects our entire solar system.

Well, the gulfstream flow doesn't hit atlantic canada the same. It is colder water and so doesn't expand the same as it might in other areas.

Sure you get hi & low tides, not the same as warmer water temps expanding volume & thereby effecting inland encroachment of water.

I recall the winter following the GOM disaster how the summer waters were heated an extra 20-degrees in many places
since heating is generalized according to the "loop" serving it around the tip of FL and up atlantic seaboard veering left across to warm the UK region, where they too would experience higher tides and floods.

Just outside of Philly area to the west. The weather report last evening was for scattered rain and winds gusting up to 30 MPH in my area.

Well the rain part was right but the winds were so high I spent a sleepless night due to branches hitting my roof. My bed is under a large window and the wind was coming right towards it. I was seriously considering sleeping in the den because the wind gusts were so high it seemed like the window would blow out. Not sure what the speed was but it definitely was higher than 30 MPH.

Seriously for about two hours I could liken it to Sandy. Flooding is definitely due to high tides because the rain was not a big deal. Just sounded like it was coming down because of the driving wind.

Don't sweat it. Chalk it up to the experience you learnt. This ride is far from over.
