How come none of us who actually live on the Coast see water levels rising, but everyone else on the internet using unheard of websites are reporting extremely high tides?

i drive 6 miles of sand beach to reach my cottage, there is a post at the end of my path where the top of small dune is, water has gone past that post in 1978 when there was a real storm, and again in 90 or 91, but not since, close but not. dont let fear of rising water scare you, because the people that say that are scumbag liars, using fear to support an agenda.

DAY 4-8 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0358 AM CST FRI DEC 21 2012

VALID 241200Z - 291200Z

...DISCUSSION...
THE MEDIUM RANGE MODELS BEGIN THE DAY 4 TO 8 PERIOD WITH AN
UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH MOVING FROM THE FOUR CORNERS REGION ON MONDAY/DAY
4 TO THE GREAT PLAINS ON TUESDAY/DAY 5. THE ECMWF AND GFS HAVE
SIMILAR TIMING AND CLOSE-OFF THE SYSTEM OVER THE ARKLATEX ON
TUESDAY. AS THIS OCCURS...THE MODELS STRENGTHEN A PRONOUNCED
LOW-LEVEL JET AND BRING MOISTURE NWD INTO THE LOWER MS VALLEY
TUESDAY AFTERNOON WHERE A THREAT FOR STRONG THUNDERSTORMS COULD
DEVELOP. IF MORE MOISTURE CAN RETURN NWD INTO THE LOWER MS VALLEY ON
TUESDAY THAN IS CURRENTLY FORECAST...A SUBSTANTIAL SEVERE THREAT
COULD DEVELOP TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THE SEVERE THREAT COULD PERSIST EWD
ACROSS THE GULF COAST STATES FROM TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY AS
THE SYSTEM PROGRESSES ACROSS THE REGION. AT THIS POINT...WILL NOT
ISSUE AN ENHANCED SEVERE THREAT MAINLY DUE TO UNCERTAINTIES
CONCERNING MOISTURE RETURN AND DIFFERENCES IN MODEL SOLUTIONS.

******** Melbourne, Florida **************

UPDATE:

Went down to Melbourne Beach, Florida and apparently one wave did make it about 25 feet further onto the beach than the others. Left a water line on the beach.

The Indian River looks a little above normal, nothing to get worried about right now.

Will continue to monitor this situation

Luisport.

The surge map you put up earlier has changed now and the levels have decreased quite a bit. Most are barely of normal levels now...must be a high tide thing.

Here is the wind map...yes wind coming from the west. Why would we have had surge that ends up going up the Delaware River in and around Philly when the wind is going west to east?

and a surge chart for Philadelphia.

because we know how you ocean front property people are

not only are you in constant denian, as you rebuild your homes every five years, but you are living in black mold 24/7 - and are retarded

(don't say that your enviornment isn't filled with black mold spores, because I've lived on the coastlines - both of them, and that is where it comes from ... it is Natures "blow-back" from all the toxic waste you have dumped into the oceans )

Re: Water levels over 4 feet above normal in some areas along the East Coast!!! Surges of 5+ feet near Philly NOW!!!
I live in coastal NJ, and the issue here is that areas that used to flood a just little bit in very heavy rainstorms (and severely in major storms like Sandy) are now flooding significantly after a moderate storm.

So basically, for anyone living in these low-lying areas, damaging flooding afetr every rainstorm is apparently the "new normal," and that is a problem.

Many of the people who's homes are in danger are lower-middle class workers who live near the bays, NOT wealthy people with luxurious vacation homes on the ocean. And most of them have flood insurance, so they don't need to be subsidized by your taxes except in unprecendented disasters like Sandy - just like Katrina, the Joplin, MO tornado, the excessive wildfires in CA and CO, etc. - disaters do happen everywhere you know!

So yes, for these hardworking people it is a serious problem, as they will likely have to leave their homes or face more loss sometime in the near future, and hopefully most have more compassion than your sorry ass.

ALL flood insurance is subsidized by the federal government which is the only reason that insurance companies will write policies for it.

300 miles from the Atlantic Coast, the wind continues to blow steady and hard, about 25 mph. Been doing this for about 30 hours. Sometime will stop for just a few minutes, then start up and blow hard again, very steady wind, and we can hear it roaring from inside the house.

It's like someone turned on a big fan and forgot to turn it off.
