Left a water line on the beach. The Indian River looks a little above normal, nothing to get worried about right now. Surges of 5+ feet near Philly NOW!!! The surge map you put up earlier has changed now and the levels have decreased quite a bit. Most are barely of normal levels now...must be a high tide thing. Here is the wind map...yes wind coming from the west. Why would we have had surge that ends up going up the Delaware River in and around Philly when the wind is going west to east? Surges of 5+ feet near Philly NOW!!! I live in coastal NJ, and the issue here is that areas that used to flood a just little bit in very heavy rainstorms (and severely in major storms like Sandy) are now flooding significantly after a moderate storm. So basically, for anyone living in these low-lying areas, damaging flooding afetr every rainstorm is apparently the "new normal," and that is a problem. |

And most of them have flood insurance, so they don't need to be subsidized by your taxes except in unprecendented disasters like Sandy - just like Katrina, the Joplin, MO tornado, the excessive wildfires in CA and CO, etc. - disaters do happen everywhere you know! So yes, for these hardworking people it is a serious problem, as they will likely have to leave their homes or face more loss sometime in the near future, and hopefully most have more compassion than your sorry ass. |

ALL flood insurance is subsidized by the federal government which is the only reason that insurance companies will write policies for it. |

Sometime will stop for just a few minutes, then start up and blow hard again, very steady wind, and we can hear it roaring from inside the house. It's like someone turned on a big fan and forgot to turn it off. [link to hint.fm] |
