I stopped by my local pawn and gun dealer yesterday.
There were more women than men buying guns. So what ever law that tries to get passed will not mean jackshit to a parent and their children. Just ask Timmy Treadwell.

so what this really boils down to isnot gun control at all, but job security. Shooting up children while at school, makes parents of school children and education workers want the schools policed, which means more jobs.

I have a Hero Complex so if I were a teacher today working in a school, I'd volunteer to be one of those to train on gun shooting etc.

That is not my profession though so of course I'm not going to be doing that.

I'm sure there are lots of teachers and police officers who will want to be there and protect any and many schools so this idea is pretty feasible.

Someone on the radio this morning was talking about new technology where a gun can only be used if it's scanned or linked to some form of point or chip on your hand and you can only get that of course if it's licensed or registered, but this sounds like very sophisticated technology and I guess for the future.

Armed Police in schools? Don't people realize that each year, the Police kill more people than any other group? And before you ask, no, they're not all "righteous shootings" not even half are.

you can not make a semi auto full oauto unless you know a gunsmith and have the reciever to swap out and a few other parts..
total cost would be about $3,000 if you could actually find a gun smith that would do it .

I thought the economy was so bad they're cutting back on the law enforcement that's already in place.

They sure picked a brilliant time to talk about gun control!

Citizens being disarmed at the same time law enforcement is cut.

My guess is the criminals in this country can't wait for some new law to be implemented. It'll be one heck of a heyday for them!

That idea will be the most likely to save lives, far more than gun bans.

The idea will certainly get the youth of America conditioned to being 'watched over' by guards with guns.

I guess we'll have to arm ourselves with bows.

Then we can redo the cowboy and indian era all over again, only this time it will be between the government and the people.
