They pulled the same move in argentina a few years ago. They want media all over the place cause they know that the cops will not risk going in there killing innocents with cameras running. The saftey cordon has been widened to 500 meters. There are no cameras running and reporters do not have a direct view to the bank. |

The ceo is having lunch in the greek restaurant on the other side of the street. Im not kidding! Its kind of ironic. Hehe, a bit of tzatziki is great for the blood pressure and the stress. Bild is not very trustworthy though, do they have better coverage with the breaking news or is it like their other news? |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 30586410 12/21/2012 06:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | oh dear, here we go. i live not far from there, it is a small subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, located in a suburban Berlin neighborhood which one would describe as rather very posh, that is, quite elegant, rich, green, relaxed, residences of ambassadors, the federal presidents mansion, large houses in general with vast gardens. here, about 700 meters as the crow flies from that bank: nothing to see, nothing to hear, not ten minutes walk from my house and perfect silence, some police sirens in the distance once an hour. the only annoyance is that the main streets of the south-western part of berlin are blocked now due to this idiot, as are several important bus lines. who the heck robs a bank these days, let alone such a small subsidiary?! news states that there are more than 500 police forces there, special forces, snipers, you name it. the idiot of a bank robber took a hostage, seems it is the bank manager, and threatens to blow up the building (alass no confirmation yet by the police on that), which would not be a loss, that building is an ugly postmodern architectural impertinence inmidst of an otherwise beautyful neighborhood.mainly built in imperial times before 1914. as long as no innocent people get hurt and as long as i am not in danger here by a possible explosion i could not care less. i hope that idiot of a bank robber gets detained or shot before i go to buy some christmas stuff in the shops of the area directly neighbouring that bank tomorrow, i am not in the mood to change plans and be forced to drive downtown due to some idiot blocking people from doing their christmas shopping in their neighbourhood and ruining the most strong-selling days of the year for all those small shops and businesses around there who need the revenue of these days to make ends meet. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 30554565 12/21/2012 06:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is BS, i worked for one bank ATM manutention central, and i know is impossible acces atm pc trough the card reader, because this device is programed just to read the simple card information, not to upload and run one program. Those guys are technicians who work for the bank, so they have free acces to the ATM's but if they loose some money they have just pay back. |
