Didn't the Israelites of olden days tell the new month by the appearance of the new moon, so that they stood on the high peaks to await its arrival and signal to all through relay that the new month had arrived, so they could keep the proper feast days? What if it were cloudy? They'd have to wait till they saw it, maybe even to the next day (day and hour,... everybody waiting,... when, when??) ,... I mean, it's in the Scripture somewhere about the calling of the new moons. Likewise, we know that the Ark was carried over the Jordan, and THEN the people followed... 2000 paces behind,... we are 2000 'paces' (years) behind the True Ark of the Living God. So, we CAN know the week, month, year,... He comes on a day 'appointed', yes, but, if the weather is heavy (and, it WILL be!!), the external compass may be obscured. You'll KNOW He's near,... IF you're a wise virgin... It is my humble opinion that this 'day & hour' stuff needs to be severely looked at. God's People are supposed to KNOW the times and the seasons, which we don't seem to, not be obsessed about the day and the hour. Trust me, if you're THAT concerned about the micro-millisecond, you've probably got bigger personal spiritual fish to fry, no? Anyhow, just a thought. I'm not uncritical of Michael Rood, but, he's at least up to speed on the topic of the Great Calender. |
