Before he went on his rampage, Adam Lanza went to great effort to destroy his computer.

What could be on there that -- in his mind at least -- could make him look somehow worse than a mass-murdering child-killer???

That's what I thought also. What tracks was he covering?

After he destroyed the hard drive wouldn't he at least throw it out the car window, or in a lake or somewhere basically away from the house. Any normal person would not try and reconstruct a hard drive dug out of a gutter.

I like this site and for some reason people dont really know about it, nothing really good comes up though. You'd think for an upper class family there would be somthing. From college, high school, local papers or blogs.

He posted to 4chan the wednesday before the shooting that he was going to kill himself and it would make the news.

It's not that uncommon to find no digital trails of people.

It's also quite scary how people automatically assume that if someone has no digital trail, they are suspicious. I even heard employers do not hire someone without an online presence for them to research.

Some people value their privacy and do not post info about them for the world to see. They are all not lunatics or mass murderers.
