Gee, and here i always read that america is the 'most free country in the world'...

You can disagree with Piers Morgan, you can call him everything you like and want, but when you simply can't deal with someone with opposing views, and aren't willing to discuss with him with arguments, that claim is empty.

And you keep wondering why many of you americans are often the 'laughing stock' over here in Europe? lol

Some points to think about:
- I often read over here that the USA is the most free country in the world;
- At the same time i read just as often over here that your (illuminati)government is controlling you like robots;
- In your so called country of the 'free': a president / presedential candidate who would dare to admit he is an atheist would be in big trouble;
- Many of you always brag about the freedom of speech you have in your country, but when it comes to judging people who ain't protestant / evangelical, who aint 'conservative' or who simply dare to question the things you selectively pick out of the constitution (many of you use it like the bible: like a word of god) he or she needs to be deported, almost aking to sharia laws... lol
- Many of you seem to know 'by heart' what kind of remarks and persons are 'true americans' and 'patriotic' or not. How can it be that in the land of freedom (free speech? freedom to express yourself? the right to bear arms?) a small group of people seems to 'know' what is american, and all the other groups apparely dont, while these other people with opposing views are at the same american citizens.
- Fellow-americans and people from other western countries where there is more gun-control can keep continue showing you factlists / stats showing you that gun-control leads to far less civilian gundeaths, far less overall gun possession
(and accordingly far less civil unrest because of that). But it's like talking to a brick wall...
- Your minority of gun-obsessed, conservative, christian rightwing, anxious and ignorant types is witholding your country from actually being a really free country: the likes of you are holding instituations like your ignorant / dogmatic churches, the NRA, the most conservative republicans and your banking / financial sector in place.
Creating a dogmatic, stilted society, that is partially living in the 19th century, and on a factual level far less free then (to name a few): Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands, Germany, The UK, France, Australia, Canada and New Sealand.

Piers morgan is a very good professional, one of the best interviewers.
We should all write in to his station to promote his career.
We could ask for lengthy 'hands on' type documentaries and interviews, such as piers meets the prison gang, and gets to have the freedom of the exercise yard, for 'getting to know' purposes.

Or piers shouts 'allah's a wanker' in a mosque. could be great live t.v. I might even buy one for that.

How could you people be so adamant about defending the second amendment that you'll disregard the first amendment?

Piers Morgan has every right under the first amendment to advocate "gun control." In fact, he has the constitutional right to advocate eliminating the second amendment if he wants to. You may be thinking, "the constitution is the supreme law of the land. To ignore it or change it would be illegal." That would be a fair argument, and personally, I would agree with that. However, according to the US supreme court, the government cannot prohibit or silence speech that advocates illegal activity unless "such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action."

No matter how how misguided or even calculating Piers Morgan is by advocating gun control, he is at best trying to make people safer, and at worst trying to disarm this country to make us more vulnerable to an increasingly overbearing government. Either way, he is not advocating gun control for the purpose of causing instability and riots in the near future. Therefore, his first amendment rights are protected.

Try to think with a clear head. Acting on impulse is why we are losing so many rights every day. Don't be part of the problem. As another poster said with a picture. Even douchbags have the right to free speech.
