I've got a friend who has ignored my advice, til now, to prepare. He decided yesterday that he should buy him a Bushmaster, Colt, or something, before they ban them.
He called a friend that owns a small-town sporting goods store, and who is also an LEO. His friend told him that he couldn't help him because he had sold everything he had and all the wholesalers were out of stock, too. He said that he thinks they are going to pass some type of ban, but that wasn't our biggest worry.
He said our federal government is going to require that all ammo in this country be manufactured with "limited-life primers". This will greatly increase the price of ammo, and make the cartridges useless after 24 months. He said it is the government's goal to completely control the availability of ammo. If they can control the ammo, they don't need gun bans.
I had never heard of this, and googled it. I be damned, but some asshole has invented a "limited-life primer". The prick!
