No Governor has the legal right to confiscate a legally owned firearm that isn't involved in a criminal investigation.

2) He does not have the power.
3) Chain of command goes: People, Sheriff, Mayor, Governor

The Second Amendment assures if he even tries this he will be brought IMMEDIATELY into a massive legal battle that will end up in the Supreme Court.

I was born and lived in nyc so I know, I know. Anyone freshly moving into the city is marked for robbery straightaway.

Still, Cuomo is looking for regulation for some serious weaponry and that I think is a good idea to have permits for having them.
Once these bullets that explode in the gut showed up on the market life became such for ERs you'd either just die or be in for really expensive repair and 8 times out of ten the city paid for it.

I do think Cuomo will choose the middle ground and not take an all or nothing stance on weapons. I just don't think he will take an extreme position where people can't protect their homes or their persons.

Does that include the Mexican cartels?
