Becoming qualified for such use, just like obtaining a class 3, is a long drawn-out process. I've never seen anyone bring their own legal auto to a range, either. What happens when your out of control teen finds the same weapon and takes it to school and uses it on their classmates? Serious questions, as you all seem to think it is ok to keep a loaded gun under your pillow at night. What law says guns have to be locked separate from ammo in your own house? Are you stupid? How is a law supposed to be enforced in peoples homes. Well, we have stupid laws that state this, It seems to be working for us thus far. I understand it varies from state to state, but i'm pretty sure most states have some sort of laws regulating the safe storage of guns and ammo. I also see you didn't address the other questions I had. There are so many issues with having guns in a home, unsafe storage is just one of the many. |

You can own an automatic rifle but it takes a class 3 license which involves approval from local sheriff, fingerprints, passport photos and significant check by govt. expect to wait about 9 months after purchase to actually get it in your hand IF you get approval. What you are talking about is a semi automatic rifle. You still have to pull the trigger for each shot. This require standard background check typically including social security number before they give you possession. I have been at the counter and seen other customers turned away because some flag was raised. IT IS NOT a "class 3 license".. it is a fucking TAX!~!! a 200 dollar TAX!! more revenue generation. |
