Who needs automatic rifles? I'm for gun controle but not gun ban!

Huh? I'm assuming you're talking about some meet at a range. At my local indoor ranges, you can rent a full auto and blast overpriced ammo all day long. The gun never leaves the range, you can't take it home for a "spin".

I've been in a small aircraft, I was even handed the controls after we were airborne...doesn't mean I can go fly a plane solo; that would be illegal without a pilot's license. Same principle, you dense belittling fucks.

I'm assuming you're basing all of your claims on tv shows and Internet bullshit, while having never stepped foot in an American gun range. Please, for your own sake, don't argue points that you know little about.

Only some states will let you own a class 3. Doing so! you have to give your finger prints to get a class 3 license, have a judge sign off a back ground check send in a ATF form-4 with a $200 fee for a tax stamp, not likely your going to do crime with all that... mostly it's collectors and folks who like to shoot full auto are buying them. I do not believe a legal full auto has ever been used in a crime last I looked.

You forget, its entirely possible to own an automatic.

Granted, its not nearly as easy to get, but its totally possible...

Knob creek appears to be a public range where you can rent full-autos...exactly how I have described. The civilians shooting the guns do not, and cannot, own them.

Why is this so difficult for you to wrap your head around? Normal civilians cannot own autos.

One of the fastest growing crimes we have here in Tucson is "Home Invasions" where anywhere from three to six guys barge into your home and take over, usually robbing and raping and beating the occupants. A lot of the time, the occupants wind up dead.

Now, at two o'clock in the morning, when when five guys decide to forcibly enter my home, the last thing I want to have to think about is counting shots and reloading.

All I want to do is protect me and mine.... and I am going to protect me and mine.

...and even if you apply for class 3, pay the tax stamp, and pass a background check you are still not guaranteed. I have friends who have been waiting years for a sherriff to sign off on sbr requests. Owning autos is not an inherent right.

Since you're still unable to grasp a simple concept, let's focus on definitions. "Regular citizens"- I am a regular citizen. I have gun permits and can go to any store and buy whatever I please except for a class 3 NFA firearm. Those who have been granted class 3 are not the regular citizens I'm referring to, nor are they common. It's not like everyone who can foot the 200$ becomes eligible. I know dozens and dozens of gun nuts, yet I don't know a single one who has class 3. It's just not that easy.

Cops can use full autos, but you can't just decide you want to be a cop for that reason. Becoming qualified for such use, just like obtaining a class 3, is a long drawn-out process.

I've never seen anyone bring their own legal auto to a range, either. Most are owned by dealers and collectors, as others have pointed out. We clear?

The problem with unfettered access to firearms is that people of low IQ and from failing cultures tyrannize worthy citizens.
I am in favour of controls that keep firearms in the hands of moral, ethical and intelligent people.

Are guns not supposed to be kept in a locked cabinet, bullets stored separately ?

What good does said gun do for you if it is locked in said cabinet as required by law?

What happens when your curious child finds said gun in your bedside drawer and uses it on one of his siblings or friends, while playing shoot em up?

What happens when your out of control teen finds the same weapon and takes it to school and uses it on their classmates?

Serious questions, as you all seem to think it is ok to keep a loaded gun under your pillow at night.
