Guild Wars 2 is a ton of fun, and though it is a retail game it carries no monthly subscription fee. I've never enjoyed MMOs very much, but GW2 does a lot of things right and feels much less like a monotonous grind compared to most all of them that I've tried. You should definitely check it out. There aren't exactly any pandas, but I think you could probably make a black and white Charr creature.
