Where did the info Adam had a girlfriend come from?

I don't remember seeing this anywhere.

When the media initially reported Ryan as being the shooter.. I heard about a girlfriend being missing. I assumed later it was Ryan's gf.

Adam was so painfully shy.. I just can't see him hooking up with anyone.
