Shabbath Shalom Neim,

I now know why Abba had me reading in Yasher this evening:

Including the story of how How Zepho and his men (descendants of Esau) were taken into captivity by the King of Mitzraim (Egypt) - Yahusaphe (Joseph) and held in Mitzraim until they escaped to the Kingdom of Africa. There Zepho was made captain of the hosts (armies) of the king of Africa and hounded the king, continually, to rise up against Israel, who were dwelling in Mitzraim, to destroy them. The king of Africa consistently denied Zepho's petitions due to wisdom.

Zepho later took asylum in the Kingdom of Chittim, where he was honored because of his fame and reknown, and became their captain of hosts. He became esteemed amongst the natural born Chittimites and was later elevated to their king. He reigned over them for 50 years and upon his death one of the mighty men of the children of Chittim ruled in Zepho's place.

Neim, I am going to hold your hand to the fire on this one because I believe that you are not rightfully dividing the words of scripture or the annuls of history by making a wholesale presumption that "Rome" is Esau today. Zepho was one Edomite amongst a tribe of Chittimites. Unless he somehow made Eunuchs of all the Chittimite men and defiled all of the Chittimite Women, successfully, I can't imagine him single-handedly fathering a whole new satellite nation of Edomites. Do you have historic proof to the contrary?

Esau's decsendants took their inheritance of dwelling from the Seirites by force according to the blessing of Yahuwah. I find it ironic that the Edomites mutually agreed, from that time on, that a foreigner would only reign over them in the capacity of king according to the Book of Yasher. I wonder if that still holds true today.
