Nato and the U.S. for that matter, will never attack anyone who can fight back, let alone a nuclear armed Russia.

Imagine what just 3 hydrogen bombs would do if one hit Washington DC and one hit lower Manhattan and one hit Los Angeles! America would be thrown into a 20 year period of Civil war and internal self destruction. No more internet, no more Smart phones. Most electronic memory devices would be wiped clean. No gasoline for your car. ALL electric systems off line. Supermarkets closed, credit cards useless. Any Nuclear exchange between Russia or China and the USA or Europe Or Israel would put an end to this thing we call "Modern LIFE" and worldwide. That's the beauty of globalization. We will all be tied together in the same COFFIN

Russia and USA will always ultimately end up siding together. It may take a little while, but it typically happens. Because deep down the core beliefs and interests are the same. Everything else is just bluster. And without a strong Russia, the USA can get weak and lazy. Kind of the period we are in now. and vice versa. They need each other to exist and keep China in line.

The United States of America and the Russian Federation are natural allies. All else is theater.

China has finally been fully brought into league as an equal.

The United States provides command and control, in addition to superior military technology.

The Russian Federation provides all raw material.

China has been the missing key.

China will (does) provide mass production of base product and unlimited manpower.

The best way to think of this is a pyramid. The position of each is inconsequential. Without a base it cannot stand, without a middle it will not hold, without a capstone it is unfinished.
