"It was 1999 the world is living in it's prime and we got Disney Afternoon some Ecto Coolers and Boku. Adult juice box.
Skating around the town with my new Jnco's falling down. I rip a power slide to stop in front of Funcoland game shop.

Whoa, stop, stop. Wait guys stop. What is that little grey box?

Oh thats just Sega's masterpiece. The Dreamcast 128 bit beast. 2001 the Dreamcasts done that's it, no more. That things deceased." -Keith Apicary

1975
The year I want to return to.
Saying all the time "Clarence, take me back!"
Men and women were friends and equals.
We fell in love in high school, got married.
There were no worries what so ever about jobs, money, owning a home or car. We were good clean honest kids in scouts, church, volunteering, doing chores for parents, working jobs after school. We had no worries, life was so good, friends were so sweet and dear, love was everywhere, we all danced, sang and had great times talking late into the night about love, friendship, who was dating, getting married and living happily ever after.
Complete contentment.

Food was coffee/pie at dennys or local pizza parlor.
Clothes jeans and tshirts, simple.
Entertainment carrying over albumns to each others houses on weekends for parties and couples slow dancing with the lights off.

With an ever increasing world population it's only going to get worse.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30544260

The only place that the population is increasing is in Africa and among Muslim populations in Europe .
The population of Germany,USA,Japan,China,France,Holland, Denmark,Sweden,Norway,Poland,England,Italy,Spain, and many, many more....Are in decline !
Any future rise in world population is based on the numbers out of Africa, do a little research, do not get sucked into this myth.
And the 90's sucked and the music was 99% crap.

Remember when................

Close your eyes.....And go back in time....

Before the Internet or the MAC, Before semi-automatics.
Before SEGA or Super Nintendo...

Way back.....

Hide and seek at dusk. The Good Humor man,
Red light, green light. The corner store.
Hopscotch, butterscotch, double Dutch, jacks,
kickball, dodge ball. Mother May I?
Red Rover and Roly Poly.
Hula Hoops.
Running through the sprinkler.
The smell of the sun and licking salty lips.
Wax lips and mustaches.
An ice cream cone on a warm summer night,
Chocolate or vanilla or strawberry or maybe
butter pecan.
A cherry coke from the fountain at the corner
drug store.

Remember when...

Watching Saturday Morning cartoons... short commercials
Davy Crockett, Hopalong Cassidy, Junior Frolics,
The Three Stooges, and Bugs, or staying up for Gunsmoke

Or back further,

Listening to Superman or The Lone Ranger on the radio.
When around the corner seemed far away,
and going downtown seemed like going somewhere.
A million mosquito bites. Sticky fingers. Cops and Robbers,
Cowboys and Indians, Zorro. Climbing trees, Building
igloos out of snow banks.

Walking to school, no matter what the weather.

Running till you were out of breath .
Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt.
Jumping on the bed. Pillow fights.
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down
was cause for giggles.
Being tired from playing.... Remember that?

The worst embarrassment was being picked last
for a team.

War was a card game.

Water balloons were the ultimate weapon.

Baseball cards in the spokes transformed any
bike into a motorcycle.

Eating Kool-aid powder.

Remember when...

There were two types of sneakers for girls and
boys (Keds & PF Flyers)and the only time you
wore them at school, was for "gym."

It wasn't odd to have two or three "best"
friends.

When nobody owned a purebred dog.

When a quarter was a decent allowance, and
another quarter a miracle.
When milk went up one cent and everyone talked
about it for weeks? When you'd reach into a
muddy gutter for a penny.

When you got your windshield cleaned, oil
checked, and gas pumped, without asking, for
free, every time. And, you didn't pay for air.
And, you got trading stamps to boot!

Remember when..

When laundry detergent had free glasses, dishes
or towels hidden inside the box. When nearly
everyone's mom was at home when the kids got
there. When it took five minutes for the TV to
warm up, if you even had one. When your Mom wore
nylons that came in two pieces.

It was magic when dad would "remove" his thumb.

When it was considered a great privilege to be
taken out to dinner at a real restaurant with
your parents.
When girls neither dated nor kissed until late
high school, if then.
When all of your male teachers wore neckties and
female teachers had their hair done.
When they threatened to keep kids back a grade
if they failed ..and did! When being sent to the
principal's office was nothing compared to the
fate that awaited a misbehaving student at home.
Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it
wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs,
gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents were a
much bigger threat! and some of us are still
afraid of them!!! Didn't that feel good.. just
to go back and say,

Yeah, I remember that!

Decisions were made by going
"eeny-meeny-miney-mo." Mistakes were corrected
by simply exclaiming, "do over!" "Race issue"
meant arguing about who ran the fastest.

Remember when...

Money issues were handled by whoever was the
banker in "Monopoly." The worst thing you could
catch from the opposite sex was cooties. It was
unbelievable that dodgeball wasn't an Olympic
event. Having a weapon in school, meant being
caught with a slingshot.

Nobody was prettier than Mom.

Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better.
Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable
aspirin. Ice cream was considered a basic food
group. Getting a foot of snow was a dream come
true. Abilities were discovered because of a
"double-dare."

Older siblings were the worst tormentors, but
also the fiercest protectors.

If you can remember most or all of these, then
you have LIVED!!!!

Pass this on to anyone who may need to remember
when...

I DOUBLE DARE YA!!!

Meanwhile wars were still being waged, racism rampant, rapists and child molesters were around though much more hidden...I could go on. All this crap you mentioned seems ideal but go back further when Genghis Khan and Vlad was ripping it up in the East or when the Spanish colonized (raped) areas around the world. What you're reminiscing about is what you saw on TV. Thanks to the internet, what was hidden now is in plain sight now.

Also, people had real, attainable career dreams in the 90s. Job hopping was popular, as well as signing bonuses and negotiating salary offers.

Nowadays, people just dream of getting by.

The last good year in the United States was 1986. After this, when Rap really began to take over, things turned to shit quickly.

Many white people began to adopt the habits of inner-city Negroes.

What remained of white counter-culturalists became whiney, self-obsessed Grunge/Emo/Hipster homos rehashing trends from ages gone by, oftentimes "Ironically."

The world population has nothing to do with it, that's just politics not science. Just like global warming is politics not science, same with evolution etc.

As of 2005 the next generation will be far more heinous as the UN's law for evolution to be taught in all schools went through. Expect to see a lot more suicidal rampaging teenagers who think they just came from a rock and are worthless.

You can fit the entire world population into half of Florida. There's enough land in North America alone for everyone to have over an acre of land each. You can be self sufficient on an acre.

If people ate plant food, the world could support so many more people.

The 90s were better I suppose. If we go back to the early 1900s things will get exponentially better as we go back through time.

The internet ruined things, like all sorts of social interaction gone. This technology used like this to saturate us with entertainment isn't great.

Population has nothing to do with it.

However in the end nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos) and Kingdom (governments) against Kingdom. There will be tension between ethnic groups and governments.

What sucks is the governments of our countries are filling our countries with other ethnic minorities deliberately. They are making it statute (not law) that we the indigenous people have to conform to these immigrant's ways of life and not the other way around, thus we become the minority.

This is part of the problem.

Overall it is just lack of Christ (not catholocism, there's a reason the dark ages were called the dark ages)

In the 90s it was automatic discharge in the military if you are gay or were rumored to be gay.

But I do miss those days for my own reasons...nintendo as a luxury...being outdoors with friends.

Social media and the internet is a sin I tell you. Keep sin but keep it under the carpet.
My magic is both from Source and Soul. I love everything for what it is...a means to an end. I love the fact we are all puzzle pieces to a Grand Master Design.

Oh God, where art though? Why must our souls be shards, is it a dirty trick or lesson or a test?

The 90s weren't better, nostalgia has a way of warping your perception of events.

You were just young and nieve, and still had hopes and dreams. Like everyone from every generation.

I gonna do a list of the things that I remember....

Remember when marilyn manson was thought to be the anti-christ, and actually unlike people accused today actually looked the part?

Remember when we were at war with Iraq The FIRST TIME??

Remember when kurt cobain ODed on heroin?

Remember when sagging your ass outta your pants was "cool".

Remember when drug dealers and all wannabes had pagers. That also hung from their ass.

Remember when someone would get stabbed over a raiders starter jacket?

Remember when the rodney king riots were?

Remember when the world trade center got bombed... again the FIRST TIME.

Remember when the unibomber sent explosives in the mail and killed random ass people for no reason?

Remember when OJ simpson a well known person got away with murder?

Things haven't gone to shit, they have always been shitty. You are just now noticing it because you are older and the exuberance of youth has warn off.

Your great grandparents thought that elvis was the devil.

You grandparents thought punk rock was the devil.

You parents thought marylin manson was the devil.

New parents today think that Lady gaga is the devil.....

Problem is that in addition to horrible things occuring, we now have dept of homeland security, TSA, NDAA, Obama, and an increased tension among people.

To measure it by half fake events in the news is not really it. Just simple day to day interactions are much worse. People have declined in massively.

Increasing world population has nothing to do with "how things are are".

There is room for billions and billions more. It's just a matter of how resources and communities are managed, coupled with utilizing KNOWN technologies that are being suppressed.

Just think of all the dam's that need not be in place for the generation of power. Think of how nice it would be to be able to close ALL coal fired power plants.

There is more energy in the first 300 miles of atmosphere, than all the power that has been produced since man first learned how. Tesla's already proven this.

If Africa was treated right, they could grow enough food for the entire world. Instead, they are kept in 3rd world status for political reasons.

It's all a game. Please research and educate yourself. The modern Western education has made the last two generations, into ignorant subjects.
