He doesn't do stand up anymore because it's totally unnecessary...and he probably lost the need to vent because his life is so sweet now...Lost the stand up/insecure funny bones.

Most guys doing stand up would cut one of their fingers off to be in the position Eddy Murphy is in...They do stand up to get into the big time Hollywood/TV scene.
