Just a small nitpick, but not once in the video do they say guns should be banned. The video itself (not what you think it implied) was completely neutral on that matter.

There is a very loud call in this country to come up with common sense ways to curb the violence. I think 99.999% of us could agree that the gun "violence" should be a topic of discussion, whether you are pro-gun or not.

I'm a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment, but that doesn't make me run down the street screaming "they're taking our guns away!" every time someone says "we need to talk about the epidemic of gun violence". There are victims in these crises, and you are not one of them.

(Also I am non-reactionary enough to realize that it's impossible for guns to be banned without a full repeal of the 2nd amendment via another amendment, something that anyone capable of statistical deduction would understand is virtually impossible to occur. As you said, we're Americans.)
