This is actually exactly the role I have been playing. I felt an immediate presence of Hermes during my awakening, and the ring coming to my posession was completely obvious in meaning. Hermes stayed with me in spirit during the first couple weeks to guide me, I also knew the spirit as the arch angel gabriel which I had never learned about but later read that he is also the messenger. they are the same entity.
