Well Acutally, the IAEA reports, available from their page at the UN website, unfailingly admit that Iran is in compliance with the treaty. The "suspicious" activities that the media and the UN Security Council members constantly scare us with happened over 20 years ago, and the IAEA has officially "forgiven" Iran for getting civilian nuclear power info from Pakistani and Russian sources "under the table".

Iran is allowed to produce nuclear energy, they're just not allowed to enrich over a specific percentage, which only has a use in weapons grade uranium. The sanctions are being enforced to stop Iran from enriching at that level, which they are refusing to comply with.

The only purpose in enriching at the levels that they are going for, is for a weapon, PERIOD.
