I wonder if it's just a Coincedence that my father and his brothers and sisters were living in the Pruitt-Igoe housing projects durring the 50s & 60s when this was taking place? Most of my aunts and auncles , along with my grandmother eventually moved out to San Fransisco in the late 60s but my dad was the only one who did not. He stayed in St.louis and retired as a criminal investigator for the st.louis city juvinile courts.

I always knew this place was strange but now I'm completely speechless , it's gonna take me awhile to explain this and I'm not sure where to even begin so if anyone else wants to g for it , go for it ! I had no idea that the set of the movie Truman Show was shot in a real neighborhood! I also had no idea that the same corporation behind that neighborhood in the movie designed New Town in Missery , it make sense though , too much sense, the whole "city" is like a Hollywood movie set.

And so New Town, Missouri, was born. New Town lies thirty miles northwest of downtown St. Louis in a previously undeveloped floodplain. The town was designed by the same masterminds who brought us the world’s first New Urbanism development, Seaside, Florida (setting for the film The Truman Show, which is set in a town that is in reality the set of a reality television show).
