Both pictures are forms of extremism.

I lived in the middle east for a time - and found the atmosphere to be OPPRESSIVE. It is interesting that you posted pics with the moderate form of the burka - for many Muslim women, the burka consists of a black sheet with only holes for the eyes - and even that sometimes is covered by a sheer fabric. Got to wonder how many of them hurt themselves by not being able to see where they are going? What you are missing is that the real issue here is that they are FORCED to wear them - or suffer horrible consequences.

In contrast, the protests such as the pic you posted - albeit a rare occurrence, is quite ridiculous - not brave as one person suggested - but rather exhibitionism! Woman who respect themselves do not engage in such dysfunctional behavior. Most western woman DO NOT participate in naked protests, lol.

Control = FAIL
Lack of self control = FAIL

Extremism = FAIL.
